Jeeyar Gurukulams: A Ray of Hope for the Underprivileged

Jeeyar Gurukulam in Allampally was established in a remote forest, 10 km away from the nearest Main Road. Allampalli is an inaccessible village, located deep in the forests of Kavval in Adilabad.

Inaugurated on January 26th, 2004, this is the first Jeeyar Gurukulam school. Today 400+ students from 9 Tandas attend this school as there is NO school, within a radius of 15 km.

In continuation with the Allampalli project, a Jeeyar Gurukulam school at Beersaipeta was established in Utnur Mandal of Adilabad District. Utnur is a nearby small village which is about 12 km away. The school began with 84 students during 2005 in thatched huts.

Katarivaripalem is located on the shore of Bay of Bengal. Hit by the Tsunami, the area was devastated. One of the many relief activities taken up was constructing Jeeyar Gurukulam School.

Jeeyar Gurukulam School Katarivaripalem was established in May 2007 with 12 class rooms, a science lab, a kitchen and an audio visio hall. Education is imparted using modern electronic aids such as projectors, models, prototypes.
